25/75 Pins - 25% Silver, 75% Copper Rings
Jewellers collect their metal scrap to send off for refinement or melt down and return to rod or sheet. Its reusable nature is inherently sustainable in ways other materials cannot match. These pins are made of scrap collected at the university and my home studio. The forms were made by pressing wax into the bench surfaces, collecting the details of making. They hold memories of projects undertaken by myself and my peers in both their material matter and their physical form.
